MUSCAT : Presented by Bhavalaya and Global Events, this grand theatrical experience will unfold at Al Falaj Hotel’s Grand Hall in Ruwi, Muscat. The Malayalam version of the show is scheduled for Friday, August 22, followed by a Hindi adaptation, Bolti Tasveerein, on Saturday, August 23. Both shows begin at 6:30 PM. The event, supported by The Arabian Stories as media partner, promises a magical blend of theatre, music, and visual storytelling.
Bringing together over 120 actors and 100 backstage crew members from Muscat’s vibrant artistic community, the 165-minute production will showcase 71 iconic scenes inspired by Raja Ravi Varma’s celebrated paintings, from Shakuntala and Hamsa Damayanti to Galaxy of Musicians. These visuals will be dramatically interwoven with music by Rony Raphael and Rama Varma Thampuran, a descendant of the Kilimanoor royal family, with a background score rich in classical heritage.
The production uniquely blends live performance, cinematic lighting, and immersive multimedia elements to portray the painter’s artistic triumphs and personal challenges. With inputs from international experts and contributions from Indian film actress Moksha, the show promises to be a moving tribute to one of India’s greatest artists.
