MUSCAT : It embodies the Sultanate’s aspirations for comprehensive development and a sustainable economy under wise leadership and a promising future vision.
The coin features a distinctive design that reflects Omani national identity and the core values of the Vision 2040 framework. The obverse side bears the emblem of the Sultanate of Oman (the dagger), the name of the Sultanate, the Central Bank of Oman, the denomination in both Arabic and English, and the year of issue. The reverse displays the ‘Oman Vision 2040’ logo in colour, accompanied by design elements inspired by the vision’s visual identity.
This release comes as part of the Central Bank of Oman’s efforts to commemorate important national milestones and raise awareness of the goals of Oman Vision 2040, which represents a national framework for achieving sustainable progress and prosperity.
It is worth noting that these commemorative coins are legal tender at their face value and can be purchased from the Central Bank of Oman (Ruwi – Salalah – Sohar), or through the Oman Post sales window at the Opera Galleria, starting from August 18, 2025.
