MUSCAT : According to Weather Report No. 1, continuous cloud advection is expected over most parts of the country, with isolated rain of varying intensity and occasional thunderstorms likely in Al Wusta, Dhofar, South and North A’Sharqiyah, and parts of A’Dakhiliyah.

Sunday August 17, 2025: Continuous clouds advection and chances of isolated rain occasionally thundershowers over Al Wusta, Dhofar, South A’Sharqiyah, and North A’Sharqiyah. The rainfall will intensify over Al Wusta, Dhofar, South A’Sharqiyah
Expected impact:
- Rainfall between 10-20 mm may lead to the flow of some wadies.
- Fresh downdraft winds with speeds ranging between 10-25 knots (20-50 km/h) leading to movement of unstable objects.
- Poor horizontal visibility during thunderstorms and rising dust due to downdraft winds.
- Rough sea along Arabian Sea and Oman Sea coasts with a maximum height of 4 meters.
Monday August 18, 2025: Continuous clouds advection and chances of isolated rain occasionally thundershowers over Al Wusta, Dhofar, A’Sharqiyah South, A’Sharqiyah North and parts of Al Dakhiliyah. The rainfall will intensify over Al Wusta, Dhofar, A’Sharqiyah South.
Expected impact: - Rainfall between 15-35 mm may lead to the flow of some wadies.
- Fresh downdraft winds with speeds ranging between 15-35 knots (28-65 km/h) leading to movement of unstable objects.
- Poor horizontal visibility during thunderstorms and rising dust due to downdraft winds.
- Rough sea along Arabian Sea and Oman Sea coasts with a maximum height of 4 meters.
Tuesday to Thursday (August 19-21, 2025): Continuous clouds advection and chances of isolated rain occasionally thundershowers over Al Wusta, Dhofar.
Expected impact: - Rainfall between 25-45 mm may lead to the flow of some wadies.
- Fresh downdraft winds with speeds ranging between 15-35 knots (28-65 km/h) leading to movement of unstable objects.
- Poor horizontal visibility during thunderstorms and rising dust due to downdraft winds.
- Rough sea along Arabian Sea and Oman Sea coasts with a maximum height of 4 meters.
