MUSCAT – In an official statement, the Ministry stressed that such acts of forgery will expose offenders to legal accountability, and appropriate measures will be taken against anyone found in violation. The warning applies not only to those submitting falsified documents but also to institutions and training and assessment centres that operate without proper accreditation.
“The Ministry confirms that such forgery exposes the perpetrator to legal accountability and necessary action will be taken against him. The Ministry also confirms that institutes and training and assessment centres that train, assess, and issue licenses for professions covered by the professional classification and professional licensing that are not accredited by the Sector Skills Unit licensed by the Ministry will be monitored, and legal action will be taken in the event of any violation,” warned the Ministry notice.
Highlighting the importance of proper professional classification and licensing, the Ministry reiterated that “professional classification and licensing are not a formality, but rather a guarantee of the following:”
• The quality and efficiency of work;
• The trust among employers and clients;
• Protection of professions from unqualified practices; and
• Enhancement of employment opportunities, both locally and internationally.
