Oman Airports has taken several steps to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience for passengers. These efforts include the adoption of advanced technologies to streamline travel procedures, expansion of airport lounge capacity, and the enhancement of hospitality and commercial services. Additionally, the launch of the ‘Travel Easier’ initiative allows passengers to complete travel procedures directly from their vehicles, saving time and enhancing convenience.

The steady growth in air traffic and passenger numbers reflects the increasing tourist demand for Dhofar Governorate during the Khareef season, thanks to its mild climate and seasonal rainfall. This demand is further fuelled by the region’s rich heritage, cultural attractions, and diverse recreational activities, all of which reinforce Dhofar’s appeal as a well-rounded tourist destination. With ongoing events and a continued rise in visitor numbers, tourist activity in the governorate is expected to remain strong in the coming days.
