MUSCAT – “This measure is necessary to facilitate the migration to the Central Number Portability System to enhance service quality, enable digital transformation, and strengthen competition within the telecommunications sector” stated the Authority’s announcement.
The mobile number portability service allows mobile phone users to switch to a different service provider while keeping their existing mobile number.
