MUSCAT – “In light of the circulating information on the issuance of a new OMR 100 banknote, the Central Bank of Oman would like to point out that the information circulating is false and inaccurate. It confirms that the only valid denominations of banknotes currently in circulation are 100 Baisa, Half Rial, 1 Rial, 5 Rials, 10 Rials, 20 Rials, and 50 Rials,” stated the alert from CBO
The Bank urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information and avoid spreading unverified claims that could cause confusion.
