Esbjerg: The coveted Friendship International Tall Ships Cup is the highest honor awarded during the Tall Ships Races, given to the vessel that best embodies friendship, mutual respect, and cultural understanding among participating crews. The winner is chosen through a vote by the captains and crew members of all competing ships.
This year’s victory follows a challenging and eventful voyage by the Shabab Oman II, whose crew worked tirelessly to foster camaraderie and goodwill at every port of call. The award was presented during the closing festival of the Tall Ships Race 2025, held in the Danish port city of Esbjerg.
Crew members celebrated the win with visible joy, describing it as a reflection of their shared dedication and the values the ship represents.
