MUSCAT: People who have been caught outside Oman for more than six months but hold a valid residency visa can return to the country provided they obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Royal Oman Police.
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, many residents are stranded outside the country for more than six months and according to ROP they can return to Oman after receiving the NOC. “Employers of the residents can apply for the NOC seeking an exemption and after receiving the certificate they can return to the country,” said a senior ROP official speaking to The Arabian Stories.
Employers of the residents must submit the following documents addressed to Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the General Administration of Passports and Residence.

- Copy of the company commercial registration (CR) papers.
- Copy of the authorized signatory of the company.
- Copy of flight ticket of the employee that should be valid for 14 days.
