BAKU: Held from July 18 to 19 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Oman’s delegation was led by Her Excellency Zahra bint Mohammed Redha Al Lawati, Deputy Chairperson of the State Audit Institution for Supervision of Institutions, Investments, and Companies.
The meeting brought together members of ARABOSAI and ASOSAI to explore ways to enhance cooperation, build capacity, and modernize audit practices across both regions. Key committees—including the Knowledge Building, Capacity Building, Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Institutional Development Committees—presented progress reports and outlined strategies to strengthen joint efforts.
Notably, the summit spotlighted pressing themes such as addressing climate change through audit work and the integration of artificial intelligence in auditing processes. Discussions also focused on green infrastructure projects and their alignment with transparency goals.
Oman’s participation in these sessions highlights its ongoing dedication to advancing oversight systems, fostering international collaboration, and aligning with global standards set by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).
