MUSCAT : “Starting from August 1, 2025, work permits will not be granted or renewed for engineering professions for all job titles included in the profession (Engineer) unless a professional classification certificate is submitted through the electronic system: http://bit.ly/4lotPYG” stated the Ministry’s alert.
The Ministry had confirmed last month that work permits will be issued or renewed only upon the submission of a professional accreditation certificate issued by the Sectoral Skills Unit for Engineering.
The Ministry had also stressed that no permits will be granted after the specified date without fulfilling this requirement.
