MUSCAT – Preliminary statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicate that the average price of crude oil decreased by 6.9 percent to reach $75.2 per barrel by the end of May 2025, compared to $80.8 per barrel during the same period last year.
Average daily oil production fell to 987,600 barrels per day by the end of May this year, compared to 996,100 barrels per day during the same period in 2024.
Statistics also showed that Oman’s overall oil production declined by 1.5 percent, reaching 149,133,700 barrels by the end of May 2025, compared to 151,401,200 barrels during the same period in 2024.
