MUSCAT : The newly approved titles cover a wide range of activities within the sector, including hotels and resorts, hotel apartments, chalets, rest houses, guest houses, heritage lodges, green lodges, and tourist camps.
These titles have been officially incorporated into the Gulf Guide for Professional Classification and Description, which serves as a unified reference for job titles and roles across Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
In a statement, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism urged all companies and institutions operating within the heritage and tourism sectors to take the necessary steps to update the professional status of their employees. This update should align with their actual tasks and leverage the newly approved professional titles, in accordance with the policies and controls stipulated by the Ministry of Labour’s system.
