MUSCAT: Bidding adieu to the nation as Minister of Transport, Dr. Ahmed Al Futaisi said he had tried to do his best in serving the country during his tenure of 9 years.
During his tenure, Futaisi was actively involved in the development of the Sultanate’s transport and communications sector. “I extend my sincere thanks to the colleagues in the Ministry for the support and assistance throughout my tenure, I also thank the logistical community and all the employees of the transport, aviation and communications sectors for their cooperation. It was a privilege to serve the nation. I would like to thank dear citizens and forgive for any shortcomings during this period. I wish success to the new administration in the ministry,” Futaisi said.
On Tuesday, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik appointed Eng. Saeed Al Maawali, as the new Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
