MUSCAT: The agreement allows Omani citizens to travel to Russia without a visa for short visits. Under the terms of the agreement, citizens may enter Russia without a visa for stays of up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days within a calendar year. Travelers must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
The Ministry clarified that entry before the effective date of July 18, 2025, still requires a visa. It also pointed out that the visa exemption applies only to visits for tourism, business, or personal purposes. Those intending to stay for more than 30 days on a single visit or planning to engage in study, work, or permanent residency must obtain the appropriate visa in advance, in accordance with Russian immigration regulations.
The Ministry urged all citizens to respect the laws and regulations of the host country while traveling and wished them safe and successful journeys. It also extended safe and successful travel wishes to citizens planning on visiting Russia.
