MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has appointed Dr. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Ba’owain as the new Minister of Labour.
In his first comment since the appointment, Dr. Mahad said: “A lot of serious work is ahead of us, and God willing, we will work with the support of everyone to serve and make our country proud.”
Dr. Mahad previously served as Dean of Oman’s International Maritime College. According to the Royal Decree, His Majesty has merged the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Civil Service, the National Training Fund and the National Center for Employment to form the Ministry of Labour.
