This reinforcement comprises additional personnel, vehicles, and specialized technical equipment, aiming to bolster field efforts and enhance security and police services for visitors during the Dhofar Khareef (autumn) tourism season.

As part of its seasonal strategy, the ROP has established several security checkpoints along major routes to Dhofar. These points are equipped with direct contact numbers to enable quick assistance for tourists and ensure comprehensive coverage across the road network. The initiative aims to reduce traffic incidents, accelerate emergency response times, and provide on-the-spot guidance to travellers.
To support areas that are difficult to access by vehicle, mounted police patrols will be deployed across popular tourist sites. This measure ensures a visible police presence even in remote locations, reinforcing the safety and peace of mind for visitors exploring Dhofar’s scenic landscapes.
Coast Guard rescue teams will also be stationed along beaches and near freshwater springs. These teams will provide rapid-response capabilities in the event of drowning incidents and will offer safety advice to beachgoers and swimmers.

In addition, Police Aviation units are on standby to conduct search and rescue operations and provide air ambulance services where necessary, offering crucial aerial support in emergencies.
The ROP confirmed that it is fully prepared to manage all activities and events throughout the season. This includes expediting passport and visa procedures, streamlining movement through land and customs entry points, and maintaining a strong police presence at major tourist attractions and event venues.
The ROP urges all visitors to respect local laws and regulations, cooperate with law enforcement officers, and contact the emergency hotline (9999) for any assistance during their stay.
