Muscat: Led by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Omani delegation included top officials such as His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and representatives from over 60 public and private institutions. Oman’s pavilion featured a diverse range of companies from economic, industrial, and service sectors, as well as small business owners and traditional craftsmen.
A key highlight was the Omani-Algerian Businessmen Forum, where stakeholders from both nations explored promising opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, and real estate development. Bilateral meetings also paved the way for potential joint ventures and product distribution across North Africa.
Mohammed bin Khalaf Al Hamdani from Oman Exports revealed that several Omani firms signed export contracts during the fair, while others began negotiations to launch joint projects with Algerian partners. He emphasized Algeria’s strategic role as a gateway to North African markets and noted widespread praise from Algerian visitors for the quality of Omani manufacturing and packaging.

Dr. Saif bin Khamis Al Maamari, Head of the OPEX Operations Team, said the event successfully unlocked doors for investment and export expansion, especially in logistics, urban planning, and manufacturing. Algerian businesses expressed strong interest in forming distribution agencies in sectors such as agriculture, food, plastics, and energy.
From an industrial perspective, Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Alawi of Madayn underlined efforts to attract Algerian investments into Oman’s industrial cities by highlighting incentives, infrastructure, and value-added services available to foreign investors.
The fair also created a global platform for Omani small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Ibrahim bin Sulaiman Al Hinai, representing the SME Development Authority, said the initiative enabled Omani entrepreneurs to reach international markets, fostering their growth and global exposure.
Supporting this mission logistically was Al Madina Logistics Services, whose Director, Ibrahim bin Saud Al Balushi, confirmed the company’s commitment to providing safe and efficient transport for Omani exhibitors. He also noted growing interest in simplifying shipping routes between Algeria and Oman for future trade exchanges.
