MUSCAT: Road traffic injuries are among the leading causes of death, injuries and disabilities in Oman, according a report by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
In its Annual Health Report, MOH said there were 420 death cases in 2019 due to road accidents in the country.
“Statistics of these accidents confirms that the size of the problem is still large, and despite the decrease in the number of road accidents in recent years, the number of injuries and deaths remains high,” the report said.

However, compared to 2018, there is a drop in the road accident death cases in the country. In 2018, there were 545 death cases reported in Oman.
