MUSCAT : All individuals were safely recovered and are reported to be in good health.
According to the Authority, members of the Environmental Monitoring Unit stationed at the reserve acted swiftly upon noticing the distress. The visitors were transported to the shore of Jabal Al Kabir Island, where they remained under supervision until tourist boats arrived to return them to safety.
In response to the incident, the Environment Authority issued a renewed call for tourism companies to closely supervise visitors during swimming and diving activities and to avoid leaving them unattended.
