MUSCAT : The incident, which began late last night, prompted a swift response from emergency services.
The Authority’s Operations Centre initially received a report late last night indicating a fire outbreak at one of the factories within Sohar’s industrial zone. Firefighting teams from the Authority’s department in North Al Batinah Governorate were immediately dispatched to the site, where they commenced intensive efforts to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to adjacent facilities.
In a follow-up statement issued today, the CDAA confirmed that its team had succeeded in controlling and extinguishing the fire, with no injuries reported, and urged institutions and companies to adhere to the safety requirements to help prevent recurrence of such fires.
