DOHA : Residents in central Doha and Lusail reported hearing multiple blasts and seeing projectiles streak across the night sky, raising alarm across the Qatari capital. The developments unfolded hours after Qatar announced the closure of its airspace amid intensifying military confrontations in the region.

As per official sources Iran launched 6 missiles towards the American base in Qatar.

“We spotted 3 rounds of missiles and fled outside our building,” mentioned a resident in Doha as he and his wife along with others from the building ran outside.

According to AFP journalists on the ground, the explosions were audible across several districts in Doha, while flares lit up the sky in what appeared to be precautionary aerial activity. The exact source or cause of the explosions has yet to be confirmed by Qatari authorities.

The regional volatility follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s order over the weekend to launch bunker-buster airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear sites. While Trump claimed the mission had “obliterated” Tehran’s nuclear capabilities, U.S. officials cautioned that it was too early to assess the full impact.

In response, Iran’s military has vowed a “proportionate and decisive” retaliation. “Trump made a grave mistake by deciding to come to the rescue of Netanyahu,” said Abdolrahim Mousavi, chief of Iran’s armed forces, in a statement circulated by state media. “We will continue to punish Netanyahu until we cause his absolute misery.”

Amid rising fears of a broader regional war, global oil prices surged by over four percent in early Monday trading, and the U.S. State Department issued a worldwide alert urging Americans abroad to remain vigilant.
