New York: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has travelled to New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, as world leaders prepare for a packed week of diplomatic engagements.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has also travelled to New York, confirming his participation in a post on X.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani is already in the city and has begun holding meetings on the sidelines of the General Assembly.

Qatar has also confirmed high-level participation in this year’s session. The country said its delegation will hold a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings focusing on regional developments, de-escalation, international peace and security, and strengthening international cooperation.
The General Debate of the UN General Assembly will begin on September 22 and continue through September 28 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The gathering will bring together dozens of heads of state and government and other senior representatives, with global conflicts, regional security, sustainable development, climate action and emerging technologies among the major issues expected to feature in discussions.
