MUSCAT: With the movement ban ended, commercial activities that are permitted to operate in the wake of coronavirus outbreak can return to normal working hours, the Muscat Municipality said on Monday.

However, the commercial activities that are not included in the Supreme Committee decisions will remain closed including the Muttrah Souq and its neighbourhood areas.

“The municipality announces the return of permissible commercial activities according to the packages announced in the decisions of the Supreme Committee to carry out business according to the usual working hours,” the statement said.

Most of the shopping malls and supermarkets in the country have already started trading in normal working hours after the Supreme Committee lifted the evening movement ban on August 15.
