MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police on Monday arrested 24 infiltrators for attempting to enter the country illegally.
The ROP said the Coast Guard seized two smuggling boats from them. “The Coast Guard Police in North Al Batinah Governorate has seized two smuggling boats, one of them near the port of wilayat of Saham and the other on the beach of the Wilayat of Shinas, with 24 infiltrators of different Asian nationalities on board,” ROP said in a statement.
ROP has also warned citizens and residents against facilitating the entry of infiltrators “into the Sultanate’s lands, and calls for not accommodating illegal labourers so that they are not subject to legal accountability,” the statement added.
