Report side effects of medicines and vaccines on VigiMobile app, says Oman’s Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health is encouraging citizens and residents to report any side effects related to medications or vaccines directly from their mobile devices using the VigiMobile app — even without an internet connection.

MUSCAT : VigiMobile is a user-friendly application developed by the Uppsala Monitoring Centre, a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring, based in Uppsala, Sweden.

Through this app, the Ministry aims to strengthen the country’s ongoing pharmacovigilance system and ensure the safety and effectiveness of medicines and vaccines used in the Sultanate.
The Ministry has also shared steps to install the app.

For Android Users:

  1. Scan the QR code specific to Oman (provided in the official reporting form).
  2. From the menu, select “Install App.”
  3. The app will then appear on your device.

    For iPhone (iOS/Safari) Users:
    1. Scan the QR code specific to Oman
    2. Tap the share button.
    3. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen.”
    4. The app will appear on your home screen.
