Muscat: The campaign includes a series of promotional activities in key shopping malls to attract tourists to Dhofar Governorate, one of the Sultanate of Oman’s most prominent summer destinations.
Running annually from June 21, the Dhofar Khareef season is known for its cool weather, lush landscapes, and unique cultural experiences, offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat across the region.
As part of the promotions, the Ministry is engaging with audiences by providing comprehensive information about the governorate’s diverse tourism experiences and activities, including recreational and nature trips, visits to heritage and archaeological sites, and seasonal events. The campaign also highlights direct flight options to Salalah, simplifying travel planning for potential visitors from GCC countries.

It is worth noting that the Ministry launched its campaign earlier this year at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, where it collaborated with Dhofar Municipality to spotlight key attractions and events planned for the Khareef season. It also organised two workshops in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of several tourism sector partners in Dhofar Governorate, along with Flynas and Flyadeal.
