MUSCAT : In an online notice, the Municipality stated: “Take a moment to fill out the traffic survey and help us enhance road safety and efficiency for everyone. Your feedback matters—join us today in shaping smarter traffic solutions for tomorrow!”
This initiative is part of Muscat Municipality’s integral role in monitoring the performance of the road network across the Governorate. The Municipality regularly conducts comprehensive traffic studies to monitor and assess current traffic conditions, evaluate traffic-generating areas related to urban expansion and economic activity, and identify congestion points to propose effective solutions.
Currently, the third edition of the Muscat Area Traffic Study is underway. This extensive study, awarded to the international consultant Dar Al Handasah, will span 433 days. The data gathered and analysed during this period will be crucial in integrating traffic solutions into short-, medium-, and long-term development plans aimed at reducing congestion and improving overall traffic flow.
