MUSCAT – When asked about his advice for foreign investors considering Oman, Yusuff Ali emphasised the “ease of doing business” in the Sultanate, noting the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency with regulatory improvements. “They can see that there is transparency… So, they can come and invest,” he stated.
Regarding investment opportunities in Oman, the LuLu Group Chairman highlighted several key factors that attract investors, including “visionary leadership, a strong economy, security and stability, a good environment, and infrastructure.” He acknowledged the Sultanate’s continuous upgrades in these areas to align with the international environment, creating opportunities in sectors such as tourism, manufacturing, industrial development, and retail. “This is a great opportunity for the people to come and see what all things the government is doing to attract the investments. So, I hope that more investments will come here,” he added.
In response to a query on LuLu Group’s expansion plans in Oman, Yusuff Ali shared exciting developments for the retail chain. “See, we are now 36-plus outlets, and we are in all wilayats. We have got e-commerce…and we have got distribution centers in eight places. We are now expanding to e-commerce and procurement centers,” he revealed, pointing out that the expansion into procurement centers aims to boost the sales of local products.
