MUSCAT : A spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, with Omani mediation, the Italian capital Rome has been selected as the venue for the upcoming negotiations between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.

Oman welcomed the facilitation of this high-stakes meeting in Rome, which was selected for logistical reasons. The Sultanate also extended its gratitude to the Italian government for its support in preparing for the talks.

Although the location has shifted from Oman to Italy, Iranian state media emphasized that Oman’s diplomatic role remains unchanged.
