Muscat – His Excellency described the volume of truck movement as a promising opportunity for the vehicle maintenance sector.

Speaking at OPAZ’s annual media briefing, the Chairman noted that despite the potential, the maintenance sector remains underexplored by Omani youth. “Five million trucks entered and exited our regions during the past year, which provides promising and significant opportunities for the maintenance sector, but maintenance is a sector that Omani youth do not pay attention to,” he stated
To encourage growth in this area, OPAZ has taken steps to facilitate small and medium enterprises (SMEs). “We have reduced registration and commercial registration fees and we hope to witness an increase in the maintenance sector, similar to our success in the transportation and storage sector, the Chairman explained.
