MUSCAT : Egypt commended Oman’s constructive, vital and continuous role in supporting political and peaceful solutions in light of the grave challenges facing the region.

In its statement, of Egypt affirmed its full support for Oman’s sincere efforts at reaching political solutions through dialogue. This is an approach Egypt has long advocated, given its complete conviction that there are no military solutions to the crises raging in the region, and that policies of escalation and tension only further inflame the situation.

It looks forward to the two parties reaching an agreement that addresses their concerns and ensures security and stability for the sisterly neighbouring countries in the Arabian Gulf region. It hopes that these negotiations will usher in a new phase that will contribute to achieving calm and reducing tensions in the region.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan also welcomed Oman’s hosting of high-level talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. It affirmed its support for diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving conflicts through dialogue and expressed its appreciation for the role played by Oman in convening these talks.
