Oman participates in Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is participating in the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT) from March 18 to 20, with representatives of ten local tourism companies.

Muscat – The exhibition, credited as one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Russia and Eastern Europe, is held annually in Moscow. It brings together tourism industry experts from around the world to showcase the latest services and innovations in travel and tourism sector. The exhibition aims to foster cooperation between tourism companies from different countries and help open new markets for companies involved in the industry.

The exhibition features a wide range of companies, including hotels, airlines, travel agencies, and tourism service providers. The exhibition also offers excellent networking opportunities for industry professionals, with numerous seminars and workshops held to exchange knowledge and latest trends in tourism. MITT is also a key platform for promoting tourist destinations and developing business relationships between companies and government agencies in the tourism industry.

Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and head of the delegation participating in the MITT, stressed that the Ministry attaches great importance to participating in international tourism exhibitions as they are a vital platform for enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s presence on the international scene. He pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the exhibition reflects, in its design, the distinctive Omani architectural character, while using the latest technologies to display distinguished content to promote the tourism assets in the Sultanate of Oman.

He further explained that during Oman’s participation in the exhibition, there will be meetings with representatives of a number of international airlines, as well as with representatives of a number of international tourism companies and media outlets. These meetings will focus on promoting various facets of tourism, including luxury, adventure, sustainable, and wellness tourism through interactions with international institutions specializing in these fields.
