Oman’s consumer empowerment index reaches 78% in 2024

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has released the results of its Consumer Empowerment Indicators on Rights and Duties for the year 2024.

Muscat – The Consumer Empowerment Index for 2024 stands at 77.6%, showing a significant improvement compared to the 2022 figures.

“This reflects a positive development in the relationship between consumers and markets in the Sultanate of Oman. This improvement is attributed to the intensive efforts exerted by the Consumer Protection Authority to enhance transparency, ensure consumer rights, and provide a fair and sustainable commercial environment,” stated the announcement from CPA.
