Muscat – A total of 3,995 complaints were received in 2024, marking a 31 percent increase compared to 2023. The TRA noted that over 67 percent of these complaints were monitored and addressed through its website, highlighting the authority’s focus on digital platforms. Additionally, 27 percent of complaints were handled via WhatsApp, with smaller percentages managed through phone and email communication channels.
The TRA’s commitment to enhancing beneficiary experience and protecting consumer rights is evident in its high resolution rate, aligning with the spirit of World Consumer Rights Day, observed on March 15th.
“The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) continues its efforts to protect the rights of beneficiaries by addressing complaints in the telecommunications and postal sectors, ensuring improved service quality and enhanced beneficiary satisfaction,” the TRA stated.
