MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police on Friday warned against “anti-social behaviour” during Qaranqasho celebrations in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued, ROP stressed the need to “adhere to the principles of morality and public decency.”

“The Royal Oman Police has noticed the emergence of anto-social behavior by some people during children’s celebrations of the middle of the holy month of Ramadan. ROP stresses the need to adhere to the principles of morality and public decency, and that society must monitor and prevent such behaviors so that perpetrators do not fall under legal liability,” the statement added.

Qaranqasho is a tradition that shines brightly during the 14th night of Ramadan in Oman, bringing communities together in a vibrant celebration of joy, unity, and cultural warmth.
