Muscat – In an official announcement, the municipality stated that this directive is part of its ongoing efforts to maintain the city’s aesthetic appeal and preserve its public spaces. Companies providing event tents are required to dismantle and remove any structures erected without proper authorization.

The Municipality stated that failure to comply will result in the immediate removal of these tents at the expense of the violators.

The announcement reads as follows: “As part of the continuous efforts to preserve the general appearance of the city, Dhofar Municipality announces to all companies that provide tents for weddings & events that they must remove all unlicensed structures from public squares and sites, within a week from the date of publishing this announcement, otherwise, the municipality will immediately remove these structures at the cost of the violators, without the municipality bearing any responsibility towards its owners.”
