MUSCAT : One of the standout initiatives is the beautification of four major roundabouts along the Rustaq-Musannah road, transforming them into natural artistic landmarks that add to the aesthetic appeal of the region. Additionally, multiple gardens and parks are undergoing renovations, including the Al-Taybeen neighborhood garden, Barka Park in Barka, Nakhal Garden, Wadi Al-Maawil, and the newly established Dam Garden in Al-Awabi. Work is currently in progress to complete the Nakhal and Wadi Al-Maawil gardens.

Efforts are also underway to rehabilitate irrigation systems in these recreational spaces, expand green areas, and install modern playgrounds. These upgrades aim to create welcoming, family-friendly environments with essential facilities to enhance visitor experiences.

Looking ahead, the governorate is committed to sustaining and expanding its beautification initiatives, with future projects in gardens, landscaping, and public spaces already in various stages of planning and execution. Some have been put up for tender, while others are currently under review by specialists in the Gardens and Parks Department of the Technical Affairs Department.
