Muscat – The OTP is linked to the phone number activated and registered in the Civil Status system, under the Royal Oman Police. To ensure smooth and secure access to the platform, the Ministry is urging users to update their phone number details in the Civil Status system, ensuring it is properly linked to their ID card.
The Tajawob platform, Oman’s national platform for suggestions, complaints, and reports, relies on OTPs for secure user authentication. Delays in receiving these codes can hinder access to the platform and its services.
For users facing issues with receiving the OTP, the Ministry recommends the rollowing steps:
- Open the text message app on the phone.
- Click on the icon displaying the first letter of the phone owner’s name.
- Access the ‘Spam and Blocked’ messages folder.
- Check if the message containing the (OTP) code has been categorized within this category.
- Open the message and select the ‘Not spam’ option to ensure the code is received correctly in the future.
Users can update their phone number through the Civil Status Data Update link on the Royal Oman Police website: https://idpsp.rop.gov.om/login.jsp?app=ROP_eServices_Ar.
