Six new agricultural investment opportunities launched in Oman’s Buraimi Governorate

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has announced the launch of six new agricultural investment opportunities in Al Buraimi Governorate.

MUSCAT : These opportunities, accessible through the ‘Tatweer’ platform, are designed to boost investment in the agricultural sector and encourage the participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The total area for these investment opportunities spans 29.6 acres. One of the major initiatives is located in the Al-Zaroub area of Mahda Wilayat. This opportunity focuses on cultivating and producing leafy vegetable crops using modern agricultural technologies to enhance sustainable production in the region.

Five investment opportunities, each spanning five acres, are available for small and medium enterprises in the Safwan area of Mahda. These projects range from growing leafy greens and vegetables using modern techniques to the production of garlic, onions, potatoes, and seasonal fodder.

Eng. Nasser bin Ali Al Marshoudi, Director General of the Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in Al Buraimi Governorate, stated that over twenty more investment opportunities will be announced throughout the week, with plans for 50 agricultural investment opportunities in 2025.
