Indian Council for Cultural Relations offers 638 scholarships for Omani students

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has announced the availability of 638 scholarships offered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) for Omani students.

MUSCAT : These scholarships are for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2025/2026.

The scholarship benefits include exemption from tuition fees, round-trip economy class airfare, and financial allowances similar to those given to students on official study missions.

The Ministry has listed the following conditions to apply for scholarships:

• The registered university must be among the universities recommended for study by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation and listed on the Ministry’s website: https://www.moheri.gov.om
• The chosen programme must be accredited in the host country.
• Enrolment in executive or professional programs is not permitted.
• If the program involves multiple universities, all institutions must be on the Ministry’s recommended list.
• After obtaining acceptance, the candidate must submit a request to continue studying through the Ministry’s electronic system https://www.moheri.gov.om to obtain final approval before starting the study.

Interested students can apply through the ICCR’s A2A Scholarships Portal. The deadline for submitting applications is April 30, 2025.
