MUSCAT : The decisions were made during the first Board of Directors meeting for 2025, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, with the attendance of board members.
The Board announced rental reductions and exemptions for new projects in several industrial cities:
Ibri, Sur, and Mahas Industrial Cities will benefit from lower rental values for several years.
Al Mudhaibi, Al Suwaiq, and Madha Industrial Cities will see further reductions and rent exemptions for the initial years of new projects.
These incentives are part of efforts to stimulate investment and enhance Oman’s appeal as a hub for industrial and economic development.

In a move to attract more real estate developers and investors, the Board also approved amendments to the real estate development regulations in Duqm Special Economic Zone. These changes aim to simplify procedures and create a more developer-friendly environment for both residential and commercial projects.
The Board also reviewed plans for the industrial area in Wadi Al Kabir, managed by Madayn, with a focus on infrastructure upgrades and investment regulations. The reforms will align with Muscat Municipality regulations, ensuring a modern and well-regulated industrial zone.
The meeting included discussions on restructuring Oman Investment and Development Holding Company (Mubadrah) and its affiliated entities, in coordination with the Oman Investment Authority.
