Muscat – The CPA’s judicial officers seized the expired paints during routine inspection visits to stores and commercial centres in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
Following the inspection, legal measures were taken, an administrative violation was recorded, and the goods were confiscated and withdrawn. A total of 350 expired paint products were seized, with a value of RO 1,091.
The inspection comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to monitor the markets, combat harmful practices to consumers, and curb the spread of unauthorised products. The authority urges all traders to be aware of legal, regulatory, and legislative requirements, to stay in constant communication with the authority, and to keep updated on new regulatory decisions in the markets.
