Muscat: Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and specialists in the field of architectural design attended the event.

The initiative is designed to revive and enhance Omani architectural identity, fostering a deeper understanding of its cultural, social, and economic significance. It highlights centuries of Omani innovation in architecture, showcasing traditional design methods while integrating modern techniques for sustainable development. The program also aims to engage different segments of society in architectural discussions, nurturing a creative and leadership-driven environment for architects in Oman’s growing labour market.

During the launch, His Highness toured the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design pavilion, where he viewed 3D models of past award-winning projects, including the winning design for Oman’s Pavilion at Expo Japan 2025. A visual presentation detailed the evolution of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award, culminating in the creation of the Architecture Revival Initiative.

The presentation also unveiled a new structure under the HH Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives, which includes:

Additionally, it was announced that the third edition of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design will be launched at the end of this year.

The Architecture Revival Initiative is built around three core themes:

Showcasing pioneering architectural inspirations and experiences.
Highlighting traditional Omani design techniques and their role in revitalizing old villages into sustainable tourist destinations.
Preparing graduates for the architecture job market through networking and career-building opportunities.
