MUSCAT : The Social Protection Fund has completed the disbursement of the family income support benefit to more than 53,000 citizens whose applications met the conditions and regulations specified for eligibility.
The Social Protection Fund explained that the beneficiaries received a total of more than RO 8 million and that the number of new cases eligible for the benefit stood at 30,810. The Fund added that a total of 22,262 cases continue to receive the social security pension.
The Fund said that 31,375 applications were submitted for eligibility during the period from 20 October 2024 until February 2025.
