MUSCAT : Dr. Yusra Juma Al Sinani, Associate Professor, Department of Curriculum and Teaching at the College of Education in Sultan Qaboos University, has obtained the membership of the International Council on Education and Teaching (ICET), representing Arab countries. She earned the post at the ICET’s 65th general assembly meeting held in Portugal.
Dr. Yusra’s accession to the ICET position reflects the prominence of Omani academic competencies and underlines their effective contribution to the development of education at regional and international levels.
The ICET is a US-based global non-governmental organization that has a consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The ICET seeks to promote the quality of education around the world and to upgrade teacher coaching practices.
