MUSCAT : Eng. Mohammed bin Salem Al Tobi, Director of the Projects Department at North Al Sharqiyah Municipality, detailed the extensive initiative during a recent briefing.
Project breakdown by Wilayat:
Ibra: 40.2 km of road paving at a cost of RO 7 million, 63 thousand, and 395.
Al Mudhaibi: 73.8 km of road improvements, costing RO 12 million, 229 thousand, and 922.
Wadi Bani Khalid: 17.2 km of paved roads for RO 4 million, 970 thousand, and 702.
Bidiya: 3.3 km at a cost of RO 355 thousand and 230.
Sinaw: 1.6 km, costing RO 345 thousand and 611.

These road projects are part of a larger portfolio that includes 96 development projects in the 2024 package—valued at over RO 23 million and 510 thousand. The program features 31 service projects, an additional 248 km of internal road paving, and the installation of 3,170 lighting poles, with several projects already completed and others well underway.
The governorate’s robust development efforts aim to enhance service delivery, boost tourism, and support the local economy while empowering small and medium enterprises and Omani youth.
