MUSCAT : To commemorate this significant milestone, Hannes Pantli, a distinguished representative from IWC, visited Oman to celebrate the enduring relationship between the two brands.
As a tribute to this golden anniversary, IWC unveiled a special edition Ingenieur Aqua Green timepiece, a limited release of only 50 pieces, at Mistal’s showroom in Bariq Al Shatti. This exclusive watch design celebrates the long-standing bond between Mistal and IWC, offering collectors a unique piece of history.

With only 50 pieces available, the limited-edition timepiece serves as a symbol of IWC’s longstanding relationship with Oman and the exclusivity that collectors value.
At a press event held to mark the occasion, Pantli shared captivating stories about the origins of the partnership and its remarkable evolution over the years. He recalled the early days of collaboration – including key moments that helped establish IWC’s presence in Oman – and discussed the growth of the luxury watch market in the region.
Over the years, the partnership between IWC and Mistal has played a pivotal role in IWC’s evolution, particularly in the Middle East. Pantli credited the collaboration with helping IWC navigate economic challenges, including fluctuating gold prices, and maintaining its commitment to mechanical watchmaking.
Reflecting on his long history with Oman, Pantli spoke fondly of the country’s steady progress and unique charm. He noted that while other Gulf states have undergone rapid, large-scale developments, Oman has focused on sustainable growth, emphasizing quality over quantity – a philosophy that aligns with IWC’s values.
Mistal’s partnership with IWC Schaffhausen is a testament to the strength of enduring business relationships and the shared commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence. It is also pertinent to note that Mistal was recently honoured with Oman’s Most Trusted Brand Award, recognising its exceptional reputation and long-standing commitment to quality and service in the luxury retail sector.
