MUSCAT : The ministry has assigned the task of monitoring compliance with specific provisions of labour legislation to the Security and Safety Services Corporation. This move, which commenced on Sunday, January 5, 2025, is aimed at further enhancing the regulation of the labour market and ensuring better enforcement of the Labour Law.
Aims of this initiative are as follows:
- Enhance the regulation of the labour market
- Improve compliance with the Labour Law and its implementing regulations and decisions.
- Combat illegal and unauthorised employment while reducing the number of violations.
- Create job opportunities and facilitate the employment of Omani workers.
