MUSCAT : The MoU was formalized by Her Excellency Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al-Farojiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion on the Omani side, and Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, Head of the Commercial Representation Authority, on the Egyptian side.

Designed to establish a robust bilateral framework for investment cooperation and export development, the agreement further aims to facilitate technical knowledge exchange in vital sectors such as agriculture, food security, tourism, logistics, infrastructure projects, industry, and information technology.

His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, lauded the pact as a testament to the strong ties between the two nations. He highlighted the significant growth in bilateral trade, which has surged to USD 1.3 billion over the past period. Echoing this optimism, His Excellency Eng. Hassan El Khatib, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, underscored the MoU’s role in boosting inter-trade and joint investments.
